Carvanol (Carvan) is a prescription drug approved and launched in Japan in June 1995. Its main therapeutic targets include β1-adrenergic receptors, α1-adrenergic receptors, and L-type voltage-gated calcium channels. It should be used strictly under medical supervision.

Precautions for Daily Use

1. For long-term administration, regular cardiac function tests (pulse, blood pressure, ECG, X-ray, etc.) are required. Monitoring of liver function, renal function, blood parameters, and other indicators is also advised.

2. Avoid administration within 48 hours prior to surgery.

3. This drug may cause dizziness, unsteady standing, etc. Patients receiving this drug (especially at the initial stage of treatment) should be cautioned to avoid hazardous mechanical operations such as driving a motor vehicle.
