Its common side effects include headache, fatigue, fever, nasopharyngitis, and arthralgia. Serious but rare side effects may involve the risk of thrombosis or liver function abnormalities. The medication must be taken strictly as prescribed, with regular monitoring of blood counts and liver function.
General: Fatigue, fever, edema in the extremities.
Digestive System: Diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain.
Nervous System: Headache, dizziness.
Infections: Nasopharyngitis, upper respiratory tract infection.
Musculoskeletal: Joint pain (arthralgia), muscle pain (myalgia).
Thrombosis Risk: May increase the risk of arterial or venous thrombosis (blood clot formation), especially in patients with a history of thrombosis, those who are bedridden, or cancer patients. If you experience chest tightness, limb swelling, or difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention.
Liver Function Abnormalities: In rare cases, elevated liver enzymes may occur. Long-term use requires regular monitoring of liver function.
Bone Marrow Fibrosis: Long-term use may increase the risk of bone marrow fibrosis, which may present as abnormal blood cell counts or an enlarged spleen.
Contraindications: Do not use in patients allergic to the drug components or those with active thrombosis.
Special Populations: Use during pregnancy, breastfeeding, in children, or in patients with liver or kidney impairment requires careful risk assessment.
Drug Interactions: Combining with anticoagulants (blood thinners) or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may increase the risk of bleeding or gastrointestinal reactions.
