Patients or caregivers should be informed that stiripentol should be taken with meals: The capsules should be swallowed whole with a glass of water during meals and must not be broken or opened; stiripentol oral suspension powder should be mixed well in a glass of water and taken immediately during meals.
2. Risk of drowsiness: Dose reduction of concomitant clobazam may be required.
3. Patients should be informed of the importance of avoiding alcohol during stiripentol treatment.
