1. Avoid nephrotoxic drugs

Nephrotoxic drugs should be avoided or minimized in patients with kidney disease. If you do need to use it, you should reduce the dosage under the guidance of your doctor.

Some antibiotics, such as gentamicin, are nephrotoxic and should be contraindicated in patients with kidney disease.

2. Diet

During the medication, you should pay attention to a light diet, and you can eat some high-quality protein foods such as lean meat and chicken, as well as easily digestible foods such as pineapple, papaya, lettuce, apple, and winter melon. Avoid eating irritating foods, such as chili peppers, mustard, etc., and should not smoke or drink alcohol.

3. Emotion Regulation

During the medication, you should pay attention to relaxing, learn to control your emotions and not be happy or sad. Physical exercise such as walking and tai chi can help regulate mood.

4. Routine of work and rest

Go to bed early and wake up early, avoid staying up late and overexerting yourself to prevent metabolic disorders in your body.

5. Blood pressure control

For patients with chronic nephritis, blood pressure control is very important. Blood pressure should be controlled below 130/80 mmHg as much as possible, and antihypertensive drugs should be ACE inhibitors or ARBs.
