Diabetes

1. Check liver and kidney function regularly

Diabetes medications may have an impact on liver and kidney function, so patients should have their liver and kidney function checked at least once a year to ensure that they are taking them safely.

2. Pay attention to the efficacy of the drug

Medication is not only about taking medicine, but also about whether the drug achieves the expected hypoglycemic effect, regularly monitoring blood sugar levels, and adjusting the medication regimen according to blood sugar changes.

3. Combine a sensible diet

Drug treatment should be combined with a reasonable diet, avoiding overeating, and paying attention to the combination of coarse grains and refined grains to maintain blood sugar stability.

4. Drug storage

Medicines should be stored in a cool, dry, and ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Drugs for internal and external use should be stored separately, and the original packaging and instructions should be kept as much as possible. Bulk medications are best stored in opaque containers to prevent accidental ingestion by children. Medicines that need to be refrigerated should pay special attention to the refrigeration temperature of 2 °C ~ 8 °C, and store them in the refrigerator freezer.
