Drug interactions of Anamorelin

1. Taboo to use together

The strong inhibitory effect of drugs such as clarithromycin, voriconazole, itraconazole, ibuprofen, ritonavir, and cabozantine on CYP3A preparations can hinder the metabolism of anamolin hydrochloride, increase the blood concentration of anamolin hydrochloride, and increase the likelihood of side effects and adverse reactions.

2. Use with caution

(1) Antiarrhythmic drugs

Drugs such as piperacillin and hydrochloride chloride have sodium channel inhibitory effects, and their combination may enhance side effects such as arrhythmia caused by anamolin hydrochloride.

(2) β-receptor blockers

Conditions such as atenolol have an excessive inhibitory effect on cardiac function, and when used in combination with anamolin hydrochloride, they may mutually enhance the side effects of cardiac function inhibition.

(3) Anti malignant tumor drugs

Like anthracycline drugs, Anamolin hydrochloride has a sodium channel inhibitory effect, and the combination of Anamolin hydrochloride and these drugs may enhance cardiotoxicity.

(4) Medications known to cause QT interval prolongation

Combination therapy with drugs such as imidacloprid and anamolin hydrochloride can easily cause critical side effects such as QT interval prolongation and ventricular arrhythmia.

(5) Moderate CYP3A4 inhibitor

Drugs such as erythromycin, diltiazem, imatinib, etc. have inhibitory effects on CYP3A4, which hinders the metabolism of Anamoxin hydrochloride, leading to an increase in blood concentration of Anamoxin hydrochloride and an increased likelihood of adverse reactions.

(6) Grapefruit juice

The inhibitory effect of the components in grapefruit juice on CYP3A4 hinders the metabolism of anamolin hydrochloride, leading to an increase in the blood concentration of anamolin hydrochloride and an increased likelihood of adverse reactions.

(7) CYP3A4 inducer

Drugs such as carbamazepine, rifampicin, and phenytoin sodium have an inducing effect on CYP3A4. Therefore, when combined with these drugs, there will be a decrease in blood drug concentration, leading to a weakened therapeutic effect.
